The earthquake is reported to be occurred in 17 minutes after the mid-night (local time) and has occurred in the NW-SE fault trends of Baft, Lalehzar and Ghaleh-Asgar region. The region is known for another recent moderate earthquake (31 July 2010, mb5.8) in the same region (no reported casualty from this new earthquake).
