IIEES President
The President of the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES) serves as the highest executive authority and legal representative of the Institute. As of February 1, 2025, Dr. Kambod Amini Hosseini has been appointed by the honorable Minister of Science, Research, and Technology as the President of IIEES and is currently serving in this role.
Duties and Authorities:
- Management, policy-making, planning, organization, and determination of executive policies for the activities of the research institute in line with achieving the objectives outlined in the statute and within the framework of approved policies.
- Monitoring and supervision over all activities of the institute, and addressing potential issues.
- Implementation of the board of trustees’ resolutions in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Development and establishment of relations and coordination between the research institute, other research and educational centers, and national and international organizations related to the institute’s objectives, both domestically and internationally.
- Conclusion of contracts and transactions with legal and natural persons, whether domestic or foreign, within the framework of organizational regulations and national laws.
- Representation of the research institute in all administrative and judicial forums with the right to appoint legal representation to safeguard the institute’s rights.
