According to the public relations office of IIEES, a meeting was held on Sunday, March 5, 2025, with the presence of IIEES's Board of Directors and Dr. Mehdi Rahnama, President of the Research Institute of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science (RIMAS).
In this meeting, the collaboration between both research institutes regarding studies on multi-hazard natural risks and the development of risk assessment and early warning systems was discussed. Considering the approaches governing natural hazard risk reduction, the heads of the two institutes agreed to prepare the necessary programs to initiate collaboration, promptly. To this end, it was decided to establish a joint scientific-technical committee to develop a collaborative program in the field of multi-hazard risks. The results will be implemented as research projects and in collaboration with the industry. Additionally, it was agreed that regular meetings would be held to strengthen bilateral interactions and monitor progress.
